Attonrey Halim Moris has over twenty-five (25) years of experience in Immigration Law has been recognized as one of the top lawyers in Massachusetts and a super lawyer by Boston Magazine.       Attorney Moris is currently an adjunct professor and New England School of Law where he teaches immigration law. Prior to joining the law firm of Moris and O’Shea, LLC, Halim Moris was senior attorney with the Immigration Unit of Greater Boston Legal Services.  Halim is a Cum Laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts.  He received his B.S. from the College of Communication at Boston University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Halim represents asylum seekers, special juvenile immigrants, individuals facing removal proceedings, and individuals seeking relief under the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA), and Haitian Immigrants Fairness Act (HIRFA). Halim is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and  a member of the executive board of the Massachusetts chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.  Halim Moris is given many accolades that include awards by the City of Boston, Suffolk University Law School, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, Greater Boston Legal Services, Boston Medical Center, Catholic Charities of Massachusetts, Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights, American Bar Association, Boston Bar Association and Catholic Legal Immigration Network. Halim Moris also writes and lectures frequently on issues related to Immigration Law. He has taught immigration classes at the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and was a guest lecturer at Suffolk University Law School.

James O'Shea

Attorney James P. O’Shea has successfully practiced Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation for the past twenty-two (22) years.  During that time he has tried and litigated countless cases in Superior Court, District Court, the Appellate Division of the District Court, the Appeals Court and the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.

Attorney O’Shea has taken on high profile defense cases, including a trial that was covered on Court T.V., where he obtained an acquittal of a defendant charged with manslaughter.  As part of his criminal practice and in conjunction with Attorney Moris on the immigration side,  Moris & O’Shea has saved countless defendants from deportation, by filing motions for new trial and vacating convictions from their past that rendered them deportable.

In his civil litigation practices Attorney O’Shea has obtained millions of dollars in recoveries for his clients over the years through trial, settlement and alternative dispute resolution.  Attorney O’Shea has litigated a variety of wrongful death claims, personal injury claims, contract litigation, and probate matters.
